Since chicken are low maintenance, do they require daily care? Yes, chickens do require daily care even though they are low maintenance. They also require monthly and semi-annual maintenance as well. It should roughly take only 10 minutes out of your day, only an hour every month, and only a few hours twice a year to complete all your chicken chores. If you feel that you would be able to dedicate at least that much time to your chickens, then chickens aren't right for you. So if you already think they are cute, and you could fit time into your busy schedule to care for chickens, then we say cluck on!
