Let's Talk Chickens. What If I Live In A Hot Climate?

There are some breeds of chickens to completely avoid if you live in a hot climate. If where you live gets over a 100 degrees either half or the whole year you would want to avoid big bodied or heavy, fluffy and feather footed breeds of chickens. Now Bantams will do well in hotter climates except for Bantam Cochins and Brahmas. So you would need to select heat tolerant chickens. They are developed in warmer climates. By them having bigger combs and their feathering being closer together it helps them tolerate the heat better.
